History
This house was built back in the 1850s and the layout inside has changed considerably. Our friend Jenny grew up in this house and has seen a ghost of a little boy run around different parts of the house. Some believe his name to be Bobby because while one of the rooms upstairs was being renovated, wallpaper was removed to find that name written out underneath on one of the walls. Whenever anyone slept over in that room, they were woken to a child pulling the sheets off of them. Jenny’s husband has also seen the apparition numerous times down in the living room where the upstairs staircase connects. He claims to have seen the boy run up five stairs to the landing and go right through the wall. Apparently that wall didn’t exist there when the original house was built.
Investigation
This was the very first investigation Tripi Paranormal did. Greg, Kim and I were on this case accompanied by Jenny and her husband. We didn’t have a lot of equipment with us and didn’t have a great idea of how to go about investigating a place for paranormal happenings. We were all very green and naive. I set up a Hi8 camera on the stairs where the ghost was seen running through the wall. We took an emf and a digital voice recorder around the house and checked out all the different rooms. We stopped after about 5 hours of investigating and called it a night.
Results
We were unsuccessful at finding any type of paranormal activity. No one had any personal experiences and in reviewing the evidence, we found nothing. We believe that whatever was there before must have moved on and the house is no longer haunted. I ask Jenny every now and then when I see her if anything is going on because she still resides in the house. She always answers no which leads me to the conclusion that her house is not haunted. It wasn’t the night we investigated and I don’t believe it to be today.
